June Newton, aka Alice Springs, passed away at the age of 97. We are deeply saddened to lose a longtime friend, artist, and partner. When we first met Helmut and June Newton in the 1990s, it quickly became clear that June was so much more than Helmuts wife. She was his alter ego, his creative partner in life and in business, his muse, his best friend and critic, and of course, the editor of Helmut Newtons SUMO. June was also an artist in her own right, and we are proud to have published a celebration of her work with Mrs Newton. We will forever hold our collaboration with her over almost three decades dear. May she rest in peace.
